Mom & Daughter Matching Bags

This is one of the very 1st bag that I've crocheted. Ordered by 1 of my dear friend...she wanted a matching Yellow bag for herself & her daughter but do not wish to buy those off the shelf as she wanted something unique...

So, I have crocheted this for her...glad that she loved it...

For mommy...the flower charm is removable & the yellow flower is removable too! This is to ensure the owner can redesign the bag according to her mood every time she uses the bag. Then, you can have 1 bag but few designs...cool, isn't it?

For daughter...the flower charm is removable as well.

It wasn't easy to come up with the design but I think I managed to get it done up to my expectation. Mind you, I'm a perfectionist...if things are not up to my expectation, i don't display or sell it...:)

Anyway, according to my dear friend, here's what she loved about her bag...this is attached to the zipper...it's my signature design...:)

And what she loved about her daughter's 1...the butterfly button 'flying' towards the flower charm...lol

After making her bag, the inspiration just flew in & I had to make a few more! I will share it out when it is done...:)

Bears friends forever!

Who wouldn't love a bear?

It started off with the bears I made for my eldest son, Constantine's friends as a graduation present (you may refer my post in year 2012). Then Christopher, my younger son wanted an Orange bear, so I made him 1. And then Constantine wanted a green bear of a bigger size. Seeing his brother got a bigger bear, Christopher wants another Orange bear of the same big size as the brother's.

After I completed the green bear & the orange bear, I started to crochet 2 bears for my girl, Annabelle (latest addition to the family). I chose Purple & Maroon. I also added bells in the bears.

Seeing the little sister got 2 bears, the boys also wanted 2 bears each. So, I have to make a brown bear for Constantine & blue bear for Christopher.

Then I continued to make 1 red bear & 1 peach bear for my cousins' daughter.

So now, I have a group of bears in the house...each of them is about 13cm tall...

The bears are also available on FB fan page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Designed-With-Passion/172538912806601.

Don't you just love'em?

Birthday Present for Emerlyn

Constantine got a birthday invitation from his girl friend from Year 2...

So, I have to think of what to prepare for his friend's present...it took me half a day to finally decide to ask Constantine what he'd like to give Emerlyn. After all, it is his present to her...

He said a bunny & a teddy, just like what you did...I was like...WHAT? I was thinking of a new plush since I have enough time to trial & error...I have made way too many teddys already....but since it is his wish, it shall be fulfilled! I prepared 2 items...

1) Bunny Rabbit keychain/charm

Bunny is done! Gee...from this angle, it looks more like Stitch than a bunny...LOL

Lucky star is done...

And the finished product...ta-daaa...a lucky star bunny rabbit with the alphabet E for Emerlyn...it is small enough to sit on half of my palm...

2) Teddy Monroe
Since I have to make another teddy, I've decided to make it slightly different from what I usually make...so, I added a skirt to the bear...hm...it reminds me of Marilyn Monroe, only thing is that her signature dress is white & this is dark Maroon...so, let's call her Teddy Monroe...lol

Alright, it's ready to go! Hope her new owner will love it as much as I do!

Who says Baby Booties got to be Boring? - Part 2

The baby booties that I've made were so pretty I have to continue making more...and this time I made 4 pairs to go with my girl's outfits...

1) Pastel Green Booties

2) Multi-color Booties (it's so soft I have to stuff something inside to make it stand)

3) Beige color Booties (Did you see the ladybugs?)

Here's the ladybug!

4) Yellow color Booties

In case you missed out the last blog on the booties that I've made, You may refer to it here: http://tinyurl.com/mogwmlp

Just so you know, I went shopping last weekend & saw Lovely Lace was selling those crocheted booties...very basic ones, without any flowers. They have 2 colors: White & Pink. Something like this design but with single color...no flower, only buttons...And, they have only 1 size...only for new born...

Take a wild guess how much are they selling...RM49.90 per pair...I was like: WHAT THE...? Simple booties without design going for RM49.90 & there's still people buying it? I think my booties are much prettier than those! Do you think so? You think I should write to Lovely Lace & send them the booties that I made? Maybe they will buy from me instead? LOL...who knows right?

So, before I write to Lovely Lace, I think I should perfect my skills & come out with more designs so that I can build a portfolio...and, in order for me to do that, I need a reason to crochet more...I can't just crochet for my girl alone...she will never able to finish wearing all!

As such, I have decided to sell them...see if you like any of the designs...if not, let me know...I will design 1 for you...the price per pair will be RM50 or USD15. Better grab it now before the designs go famous...LOL...it may not be just RM50 or USD15 then...hahaha
