2015...the Year of Xiao Mian Yang (little sheep in Mandarin)

And, we have a WINNER!

Yesterday, i posted a blog on my new experiment of sheep/lamb & did a little survey to find out which one is the most adorable one...so, the result is out! And,i gave her a name & a history too...:D

This is Clover, the Little Lambie.

Clover means prosperity, abundance, wealth, success, luck & overall well-being; which is highly auspicious for the Chinese. We Chinese sometimes can be very greedy & want all of the goodies yea! LOL

A little zodiac fact on sheep/lamb/goat...According to the Chinese Astrology, the Sheep/Lamb is the 8th sign & the number 8 is considered to be a very lucky number. It symbolizes wisdom, fortune & prosperity.

Clover is 18cm long & 10cm tall.

She is rather difficult to make as you can't really count the stitches when using fluffy yarn...lol

But I love the outcome!

Clover is available for pre-order now! Grab yours before it is too late! :D

3 Bunnies & Giant Carrots...

3 little bunnies are the best of friends in the world! They are

Baby Grey Bunny, the dare devil.

Baby Brown Bunny. Being the youngest, he is the most shy guy among all.

& Baby Beige Bunny, the happy-go-lucky bunny

They almost do everything together.

Like any best friends, they will also fight, cry & laugh together...

One day, while they are happily chatting away...

Suddenly, baby Grey Bunny smelled something nice. Being the most adventous 1, he went & explored!

Look at what he found!

It's a giant carrot! It's almost as big as baby Grey Bunny!

Happy with what he found, he brought his friends to the giant carrot...

'What are we supposed to do with this giant carrot?' Asked baby Grey Bunny.

'Should we share? But how?' Asked baby Beige Bunny.

While baby Grey Bunny & Baby Beige Bunny are discussing on how they can share the giant carrot among the 3 of them, baby Brown Bunny shys away...

While playing on his own, he found this!

'Wow! Another giant carrot!' He said. 'Maybe there's more!'

He ran back to his friends & asked them to join him...

'Come with me...I found another giant carrot! Maybe there's more!' Said baby brown Bunny.

So all 3 of them go together...

'Look! This is what I found here!' Said baby Brown Bunny...

'Hm...' Said baby Beige Bunny...

'Not fair! Both of you found a giant carrot but me!' Cried baby Beige Bunny.

'Maybe you will also find 1 here!' Said baby Grey Bunny. 'Let's try & dig up!'

They dig & they dig & finally...

'Look what I found!' Baby Beige Bunny shouted! 'I'm a very lucky bunny!'

At last, all 3 friends enjoyed the giant carrots that they found happily together...

ps: the design of this bunny is not originated from me. I found the design from the internet, but can't remember which site it is...:( I made some changes though, to suit to my liking...:D

Bears friends forever!

Who wouldn't love a bear?

It started off with the bears I made for my eldest son, Constantine's friends as a graduation present (you may refer my post in year 2012). Then Christopher, my younger son wanted an Orange bear, so I made him 1. And then Constantine wanted a green bear of a bigger size. Seeing his brother got a bigger bear, Christopher wants another Orange bear of the same big size as the brother's.

After I completed the green bear & the orange bear, I started to crochet 2 bears for my girl, Annabelle (latest addition to the family). I chose Purple & Maroon. I also added bells in the bears.

Seeing the little sister got 2 bears, the boys also wanted 2 bears each. So, I have to make a brown bear for Constantine & blue bear for Christopher.

Then I continued to make 1 red bear & 1 peach bear for my cousins' daughter.

So now, I have a group of bears in the house...each of them is about 13cm tall...

The bears are also available on FB fan page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Designed-With-Passion/172538912806601.

Don't you just love'em?
