Car themed Tissue Box Holders

Recently, i have an order for a Car Tissue Box Holder from a dear friend. She wanted it to give to someone as a Christmas Gift.

She showed me a photo of the sample & asked if I can make something similar.

This is what I made...

And, to make it more personalised, I asked to add in the recipient's initial...:)

After I delivered it, she asked me to make another one in Red! So so happy that she loved it so much...

TQ for your orders, Elaine! :D

2015...the Year of Xiao Mian Yang (little sheep in Mandarin)

And, we have a WINNER!

Yesterday, i posted a blog on my new experiment of sheep/lamb & did a little survey to find out which one is the most adorable one...so, the result is out! And,i gave her a name & a history too...:D

This is Clover, the Little Lambie.

Clover means prosperity, abundance, wealth, success, luck & overall well-being; which is highly auspicious for the Chinese. We Chinese sometimes can be very greedy & want all of the goodies yea! LOL

A little zodiac fact on sheep/lamb/goat...According to the Chinese Astrology, the Sheep/Lamb is the 8th sign & the number 8 is considered to be a very lucky number. It symbolizes wisdom, fortune & prosperity.

Clover is 18cm long & 10cm tall.

She is rather difficult to make as you can't really count the stitches when using fluffy yarn...lol

But I love the outcome!

Clover is available for pre-order now! Grab yours before it is too late! :D

Experimenting with Sheep/Lamb

Are you ready for the upcoming CNY? i know I am...LOL

And, I have this to prove it!

Just so you know, in the Chinese Astrology, next CNY will be the year of Sheep/Lamb/Goat.

I have started to experiment with various type of sheeps/lambs.

In my opinion, we love Sheep or Lamb the best as they are much cuter...lol

Here's what I have made so far...

This is the smallest one, i used fluffy yarn for the head & body.

This is bigger than the previous one, as I used a thicker yarn. The design is the same.

This one is done using popcorn stitches. But i think the head is too big...lol...none-the-less, my kids said this one looks like Timmy!

I modified the head & used normal single crochet stitch for the body. Hm...head looks fine now but not cute...

Side by side comparison of all the sheeps/lambs...

So, which one is your favourite? I can't decide, so I shall do a survey!

TQ Michelle, for being our 100th fan!

Today, we sent a surprise gift to our 100th fan, Michelle.

She became our 100th fan on our Fb Page last month! To many, 100 is a small number, but for us, it is a great milestone! Our next target is 200! And, we will celebrate it with a surprise gift as well! :)

We were so busy that we only managed to deliver the surprise to her today. Really hope she loves it!

Here's what we prepared:

A Rilakkuma mobile phone accessory. I chose Rilakkuma because she has this character on her FB account...:) let's hope I didn't make a mistake!

No, the phone is not a gift...lol but it is a comparison of the plush.

Smaller than what I usually make...

And, a set of Daisy Coasters for her lovely home...

Hope you like them as much as we do, Michelle! Thanks for being our fan! :D

Our 1st Ever Xmas Bazaar

Yesterday was our 1st ever Xmas Bazaar & it was held at one of the reputable International Schools in PJ area. I was privileged enough to have the honor to participate in the bazaar.

This is ME at the bazaar venue, setting up the table...:D

When the bazaar started, it was a little overwhelmed as many kids & adults were gathering at the table looking at these...So, these cuties no doubt were my hot seller! I sold most of it...if I knew, I'd made more of these...

I used the flower magnets as part of the decorations for the Friendship Flower Fairies Collection as well as the Party Princesses Collection, Green felt as the grass...lol

Response for Cars were so-so. The big Airplane is not appealing (remind myself to research more on boys version of crochet items), but the airplane keychains & magnets were sellable.

My coasters were my no sale items...note to myself to never EVER make coasters when participating in event relating to kids...:D

Overall, the bazaar is a success for me. Well, I can't compare as I have no experience in bazaar sales before (expect the time that I moonlight for few months for a friend, but I don't do setup. I just sell. The items are not even made by me!)

Lots of lesson learnt...lol

My biggest satisfaction is when all of them (customers & admirers) mentioned that the stuffs are so cute. Of course, not all admirers bought from me as some have budget constraint (they are mostly kids...lol) i have kids coming back & forth looking, playing & admiring the dolls & get frustrated as they didn't have enough cash to buy...some smaller kids were even pestering & 'forcing' the parents to buy...sweet memory...

I'd love to do more bazaar in the future too! :D
