Kids Birthday Party 2

Well, as promised...the next 2 themed party was for Christopher's 2nd bday party & Constantine's 6th bday (the post was published yesterday)

For BB Christopher's 2nd bday party, he wanted a Thomas & Friends theme...but this is rather simple project as we did not throw him a bday bash...just lunch with grandparents...

The tedious part was getting him a real Thomas & Friends bday cake & presents...

The planning started off with getting the cutlery & bowl...which is really easy...you can get it at ToysRus...

Then I spent 2 full weeks running around trying to get the shirts for him & Constantine...It is really not easy as there is either no size or no Thomas shirts...Finally I found these at a boutique at Sunway Pyramid. Last piece...lol
Now here comes the most challenging part...getting a cake custom make in less than a week's time...many bakery shops doesn't want to accept the order as the lead time is too short...finally I found 1 that is willing to do it...& here it is!
Photos of the Cheeky bday boy...
Screaming for Thomas...
And finally the presents!
Glad that he enjoyed it!

Kid's birthday party 1

Planning a kid's full themed birthday party is really not easy...especially when it is organized by a very meticulous & fussy mom...lol

I 1st started to plan a themed bday party was when baby Constantine is 3 years old. I planned a Disney Cars themed bday party for him at Jarrod & Rawlins at Damansara Heights. Great place with good food & lots of space for the kids to run around. I prepared many Helium balloons of Cars & all colors used are those of Cars...

Too bad I don't have any photos to keep as the camera was stolen few days after the party...:( The 2nd themed party was for my younger son, Christopher's 1st bday...that was the most expensive themed party ever! But it is worth the investment, plus it IS his 1st bday party...

I organized a Winnie-the-Pooh themed party for him; not that he requested for one, but since I'm a huge fan of Pooh bear, it has always been my dream to have a Pooh themed bday party. Plus, he can't talk yet, so he won't be demanding a different theme...:D

With almost a full month of preparations, a little over-budget situation, sleepless nights, a lot of running & coordination works, & a few more white hairs; the end result was perfect!

Here's the preps...

1) The Invitation Card
2) The Songs
Ripped from the Internet...Total 16 songs...
3) The Party Bags
This particular design is very hard to find during that period. I had to buy from the Distributor of all these licensed character in Malaysia.
4) The Candle
This candle is also bought from the Distributor. Only 1 more left...I was very lucky I guess. Those currently sold at party supplies shop aren't as "Pooh" as this one...
5) The Napkins
Bought this at ToysRus...
6) Party Decorations
Thanks to me...These are my pride possession!
Self-made Banner with Christopher's name on it...
7) The Menu
Each table has different headcount & the guests' preferred food. So, I printed out the Menu according to individual tables so that the waiters & waitresses know who to serve what...
8) The Presents
Guess what is inside...:P
Then, I went to collect the bday cake & party packs...
9) The Cake & Party Pack
Sneak Peek of the cake & party pack...
10) The Setup
When we arrived at the restaurant, it is not open for business yet...anyway, I actually managed to convince the restaurant manager to close the entire restaurant for the bday bash so no other patrons were there...lol

The Balloon Buzz crews were already working on the setup...as the 'investment' of balloons were rather huge, they actually offered to do the setup on site rather than in their shop...Plus, they did not charge me additional for on-site setup & special transportation cost...really appreciate their effort to make it happen...:)
11) The Table Setting
While we were busy with the coordination work...we managed to get the bday boy to take a photo with his Hundred Acre Woods' friends...LOL...afterall, his name IS Christopher & after that, occupied him with cookies on his special seat while waiting for the party to start...
12) The entire setup is finally Done!
Did you see Pooh, Tigger, Piglet & Eeyore? :)
Pooh Corner!
Photo time with bday boy...
Did u notice the body tattoo stickers on our hands? I prepared those for all the guests...:)
Finally...the entrance of the bday cake...notice anyone missing? :P
Now, everyone is here finally!
Bday Song time with the family...
The party ends with a blast with every guests taking photos at the Pooh's Corner...afterall, it is paid for! And, each family got a party pack with Thank You Note & Jelly with them...
Did u notice Christopher's name on it?
You must be wondering what happen to Pooh's corner after the party? Well...
Home Sweet Home! The next 2 themed parties coming right up on the next post! :)

Jake & the Neverland Pirates - Constantine's 6th Bday Bash

This is by far my most difficult bday party ever...

Constantine wanted a Jake & The Neverland Pirates themed bday party & I can't find anything to buy on the website, not even from ebay...so I decided to DIY everything...I must admit, I was rather regret with the decision as it was a very very tedious job! Plus, it is during the CNY period...so I was rushing for CNY decorations, Constantine's theme party preparation, & crocheting (I have orders to fulfill as well). Luckily, with many non-sleep nights, everything ends well...

So, with nothing I can buy off the shelves, I have to think of something different to do...

Firstly, I search online for Jake & the Neverland Pirates (JNP) pictures...Then, I put everything together...

Now, the time consuming part...To prepare the following:

Invitation Cards
I put Neverland Island as the backdrop & put Jake's crew on the hard card...I then printed a message & tie the Invitation Card for each of Constantine's friend...
Party Packs
In the party pack, we have:
1) JNP's Notebook
2) Coloring Page
3) Gold Coins Chocolate Candy
4) JNP's Stickers
Stickers before cut out...
Stickers after cut out...
5) Snacks
6) 4 flavors of the Cupcakes
7) Thank You Note
JNP's Audio
With no where to buy the OST, I have to convert the songs from YouTube to MP3...
Final product with party bag...
Games/Activities

I planned 2 games...1 treasure hunt for Treasure Chest & 1 Puzzle solving game...
Treasure Hunt for Treasure Chest & Gold Doubloons
Treasure Map...tx to hubby...
Treasure Chest...What the kids need to find...
Treats in the treasure chest...Chocolate candy & gold doubloons...
This is the hard card of gold doubloons before they are cut...
Puzzle Time!
Actual picture before cut out into puzzle pieces...
Kids busy putting up the puzzle pieces...a black & white picture is furnished so that they can refer...
Photo corner
I wanted to print life sized character but couldn't find a printer that can do it, so I have to make do with this on A3 size...
Constantine is not happy because kids from other classes kept disturbing & touching the characters...LOL

Cake/Cuppies...I've decided to bake cupcakes instead. Was very careful & used all new utensils when preparing the cuppies to ensure it is HALAL...I prepared 4 flavors: Vanilla, Blueberry, Chocolate Chip & Chocolate flavor & put a cupcake topper of the character...
Cupcake Toppers before cut out...
Cupcake Toppers after cut out & with picks...
Putting up the cuppies...
Can you see the candles??? :)
All in all, it was a success...but mind you, all artworks have to be cut out from either A4 hard card or A3 hard card, of which takes up a lot of my sleeping time...lol

Does it worth the sacriface? Yes...to see those happy faces...it's priceless!
