Batman vs. Superman

This week is the much anticipated week as Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice will be shown.

While I'm not a huge fan of this movie, I know many are. So, in anticipation of this movie, we have made something...

So, which team are you? Batman or Superman?

Crochet fun camp

2nd Crochet Fun Camp this round...

This is what we made:

Crochet with Rainbow Loom, we made 3D Rose

Small Flower Keychain

Bouncy Ball...

With yarn, we made 2 layer flower keychain

Signature flower hair clip...

3D Swiss Roll Cake Coaster...

3D Flower Coaster...

Poncho...

And on the last day, we made Frosty the Snowman!!!

So proud of my students! Sense of achievement is super high! 😜😜😜

Flower arch

We have an order to make a Flower Arch for an event...

Knowing me...I usually want something unique & different...

It took me awhile to come up with the whole set...with some modifications...

The brief from the client was: 1 piece of 5ft & 2 pieces of 3ft on each side...

So, I made this...with different sizes of colored tissue papers...

Ok, now the most challenging part...how to transport it in 3 pieces!

So, I stick all the flowers into 3 parts using Felt. Part 1 is 5ft, part 2 & 3 is 3ft each...

Oh, I also changed some of the huge flowers to 2 tone ones...as requested by client...

After sticking all the flowers onto Felt, it made delivery easier & it doesn't really damage the flowers.

Putting up the final touch, after the setup...oh yea...the flagline also completed by us...

Full view of the completed arch...

Up-close view...

Lady boss modeling in front of the flower arch...

Mission accomplished! Another satisfied customer! πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ

Rainbow Bear for Christopher

Few years back, I made my 1st batch of Teddy Bears for Constantine's year end party pack for all his friends & teachers in pre-school.

I also made Christopher 1, with his favorite color yarn: Orange.

Then, in 2014, I created a series of Expression Bear using rainbow colors...

Christopher had been pestering me to make a new bear for him because his Orange Baby Bear (yes, he named his Orange Bear as Baby Bear) is breaking apart. Reason being he always plays with him...when I finished making Baby Bear, he always bring him out, putting him in his pocket...

So, Baby Bear is all worn out, after years of washing & playing.

Since I need to prepare some bears for an event this round, I've decided to make him a new bear. So we went & bought the yarn of his choice...

Then I made this...

This round, with improved skill, I manage to make the bear more solid compared to Baby Bear. But the problem is...it is too solid until can't be stuffed inside the pocket!!!πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Christopher named him Baby Rainbow Bear...he plays with him everyday but he has been complaining that he is too big to fit into his pocket so he can't bring him everywhere he wants...πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…

Paddington Bear is Coming to Town!

London theme seems to be in every corner of the street in Malaysia...I wonder why...

With so many of them, the bug seems to caught me too...so, I have also made something that represents London...

Presenting to you...our creation: the Paddington Bear! This bear is designed & put together by one of my Craft Instructor, Christy. It is about 1ft tall & it is made using Magic Nuudles...
In case you are wondering what is Magic Nuudles...

Magic Nuudles is a material that we have been using to teach our crafts to the younger kids aged 2 & up. This material is very safe & environmentally friendly. It is made from 3 ingredients only: corn starch, food coloring & water. Hence, making it the safest craft material that I have been working with. If you want more information on Magic Nuudles, you can find it here: www.magicnuudles.net

So, after we have completed Paddington Bear, we brought him out for a nice photo shoot!

Look! Paddington Bear is happy to find his familiar spot! This 2 photos were taken at Craft Space The School Jaya One. So happen there is this phone booth opposite our craft center...

We also brought him to London Street...

In search of familiar places...

This looked familiar...

Oh, he found the bus! Yay!

After successfully made a 1 foot tall Paddington Bear, we are now making a 3ft tall 1...this is in progress...still needs a lot of fine tuning...

Hopefully it will turn out great! 😊😊😊

But, fret not...I'm back again & I will be blogging more frequently from now onwards...so stay tuned!
