Cars & Cars 2 Themed Birthday Bash for Constantine's 7th Birthday

It was the time of the year again to celebrate my elder son's birthday...

Since 6 months ago, he mentioned he wanted Cars theme for the up-coming birthday party.

And since I now go for budget celebration (since I enjoyed DIY the party more than anything else), I decided to prepare everything instead of buying those ready made ones.

From the Invitation Card...

To the admission pass for the event. I have made a few versions: 1 for the birthday boy, 1 for the guests (with their names on it), 1 for the pit crews (for those who are willing to help organize the event)& 1 for the photographers (for helping to take photos of the event)...

To the party Packs...We have all the Cars stationery set, tissue, sticker book, keychains & I have added some snacks into the party packs as well...

Next, is to prepare the water bottles. I printed out the stickers to be pasted onto the water bottles...

Up close of the sticker on the water bottles...

Then, I printed the characters from Cars & Cars 2 onto thick art cards. These are for the game: Characters Line Up...

Cake Centerpiece Topper in the making...later you will see the completed version on the cake...

Cupcake Toppers, also printed on the thick art card & cut according to shapes...completed version later...

These are presents for the games...all nicely wrapped!

Since the theme is Cars, definitely a race track is the highlight!

At the venue (before the event starts)...displaying the VIP passes on the table...

Pasting the characters on the wall...

At the entrance to the event, we have the traffic light to guide the guests for registration & to collect their VIP Passes...At the back are the party packs...

Arranging the water bottles & cupcakes on the race track...

Entire decoration is done! Now to wait for the guests...

Oh...I also hired a party entertainer to hype up the event. He came dressed up as a race car driver!

Birthday Boy in action...that's Constantine in Orange shirt...

The entertainer is demonstrating a catwalk to the 'Umbrella Girls'...

Next, we have puzzles game...we divide the kids into 3 groups...It's great to see the kids focusing on something, isn't it?

Last game: Characters Line Up...all kids are given a name of a character & they are supposed to match the picture on the wall...

After a short magic show, the kids had their meals while the entertainer made them balloon sculptures...

At finally, the cake cutting ceremony! Can you see the cupcake toppers on each of the cupcake?

Up-close of the Centerpiece Topper...
All in all, it was a very tiring but fun day! I'm sure it is memorable for everyone!

Who says Baby Booties got to be Boring? - Part 1

Well, who says baby booties got to be boring?

I used to buy baby booties off the shelves, but some times I couldn't find the colors that I wanted. Plus, as you all know me, I like things uncommon. I don't like to dress up the same as everybody else.

So, with my new baby girl born just 3 months ago, I'm already on my needle & yarns already. As you know, girls like to dress up & it is definitely going to be costly to dress up your girl...

So, after completing my amigurumi projects, I took a break from it & decided to crochet some baby booties for my girl. There are some that I've completed...

My girl has a lot of purple color dresses but can't find booties for her...so, I made her this...

As a girl, of course she'll have a lot of pink dresses as well...

And finally, she also has some Blue dresses, just like the mommy!

Hm...I think I need to get some Yellow & Orange dresses for her as well...so that I can make her some nice Yellow & Orange booties!

So, what do you think?
