34th Craft activity (16th - 30th May 2016)

For this week, we taught kids how to make a notebook based on their creativity.

We let the kids expand their creativity on the notebook...

They can have it in drawing, by hand...

Or have it in any foam character of their choice...or...make it with their favorite Perler Beads cartoon character!

30th Craft Activity (17th - 30th March 2016)

Happy Easter!!! Easter came super early this year...we just finished CNY, time passes by way too fast!!! 😭😭😭

Anyway, for this year's Easter...again, we challenged ourselves to more complicated craft...😜😜😜

Hop-hop bunny photo frame...

This is my favorite of the favorite for this craft!
My girl Annabelle loves finger family song recently...so I asked my Instructor to come up with finger puppets...but the tricky part is I want it 'no sew'...and look at the wonderful work that she did! 😘😘😘

29th Craft Activity (27th Feb - 11th Mar 2016)

We re-introduce Pom-Pom & Stenille stem craft after a successful debut last year...

This time...we challenged ourselves to come up with more complicated design with theme...

So here it is!!!

Who doesn't love a cute Chameleon...

This is definitely my favorite! Apart from the Chameleon...all the kids (when I said all, I seriously mean all of them!!!) said it looks like Arlo from the movie The Good Dinosaur...what do you think?

Owl family for the younger kids...

Do you want to party with us in the jungle? Another of my favorite...

Honey Bear family...

Under the sea...under the sea...

Kudos to all the Instructors that took manage to meet my expectation! πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…

Xmas Craft @ Sunway Putra Concourse

This is our concourse event @ Sunway Putra KL during Christmas time...

It was a 3 weeks events, running on weekends...

1st week, we did DIY keychain/bag charm as it is still a little early for Xmas craft...

Setup of the craft area...

Busy & attentive kids 😍😍😍

On the 2nd week, we did Santa Claus...this can be hung or stick to the wall

On 3rd week, we did Reindeer...

Too bad we didn't manage to take any photos of the 3rd week...too many kids during the craft session as it was the last weekend before Christmas...

But all in all it was a success as we always love crafts & we always look forward to seeing kids focusing in their tasks in hand!!!

Mission accomplished! πŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ™ŒπŸΌ

26th Week of Craft Activity (4th & 11th October 2015)

For this 2 weeks' Highlight of the Craft, we made Pom Pom Animals with yarns... Of course, we added the necessary accessories to make it looks cool! 😍😍😍

Here are some of our very good looking & selected animals:

Aren't they adorable?

The process is painstaking as it is not easy to make a fluffy 1...but so far so good! 😊😊😊

25th Week of Craft Activity (20th & 27th September 2015)

Ok...I must admit, I lost count of the week plus now I don't introduce new craft as frequent...reason is because my Craft Instructors are having a tough time catching up my demands! Hahaha...guess my bossiness still follows me...

Anyway, since that is the issue, we shall call it Craft of the Week or Craft of the Fortnight or Craft of the Month!

I think month is too long, maybe I'll stick with Craft of the Fortnight...hm...but it sounds weird! Oh well! I will call it Highlight of the Week for 2 weeks in a row!

Ok... Here is the new craft for the 25th week...

So, which one is your favourite? Mine is the Owl!!!

2015...the Year of Xiao Mian Yang (little sheep in Mandarin)

And, we have a WINNER!

Yesterday, i posted a blog on my new experiment of sheep/lamb & did a little survey to find out which one is the most adorable one...so, the result is out! And,i gave her a name & a history too...:D

This is Clover, the Little Lambie.

Clover means prosperity, abundance, wealth, success, luck & overall well-being; which is highly auspicious for the Chinese. We Chinese sometimes can be very greedy & want all of the goodies yea! LOL

A little zodiac fact on sheep/lamb/goat...According to the Chinese Astrology, the Sheep/Lamb is the 8th sign & the number 8 is considered to be a very lucky number. It symbolizes wisdom, fortune & prosperity.

Clover is 18cm long & 10cm tall.

She is rather difficult to make as you can't really count the stitches when using fluffy yarn...lol

But I love the outcome!

Clover is available for pre-order now! Grab yours before it is too late! :D

Experimenting with Sheep/Lamb

Are you ready for the upcoming CNY? i know I am...LOL

And, I have this to prove it!

Just so you know, in the Chinese Astrology, next CNY will be the year of Sheep/Lamb/Goat.

I have started to experiment with various type of sheeps/lambs.

In my opinion, we love Sheep or Lamb the best as they are much cuter...lol

Here's what I have made so far...

This is the smallest one, i used fluffy yarn for the head & body.

This is bigger than the previous one, as I used a thicker yarn. The design is the same.

This one is done using popcorn stitches. But i think the head is too big...lol...none-the-less, my kids said this one looks like Timmy!

I modified the head & used normal single crochet stitch for the body. Hm...head looks fine now but not cute...

Side by side comparison of all the sheeps/lambs...

So, which one is your favourite? I can't decide, so I shall do a survey!
