Ketupat Making & Raya Card Making Event

For the last 3 weeks, we were having a concourse event in conjunction of the upcoming Raya celebration.

It was amazing to teach so many young kids the value of tradition & what Raya is all about.

Here is some of the crafts that we taught:

The traditional Ketupat is a little tough for some kids, but when they finally did it...it is priceless!

Hari Raya Cards of various designs:

And what Raya is without the Ketupat...

This Craft Making session was an initiative from Subway Putra Mall KL to promote the Ramadan. We were privilege to be part of their initiative!

33rd Craft Activity (28th Apr - 11th May 2016)

Mothers are the greatest human being in the world...they can be a daughter, a wife, a mom, chef, teacher, chauffeur, counsellor, friend, domestic helper aka cleaner, etc etc etc...all at the same time!

I always wonder how women manage it all until I became mom myself...😂😂😂

So, for this year's Mothers Day, we teach kids to make something useful for mommy dearest!

Each set of coaster comes with a 3D card handmade by the kids themselves...there are 4 designs for them to choose...

Plus, to celebrate the sacrifices of the most beautiful woman on the world, we give away a stalk of crochet flower, a flower keychain/bag charm, and a flower magnet...each of it is carefully hand crafted with lots of TLC...

And to appreciate the great effort of my Instructors, each of them get this to give to their mom...a bouquet of flower & a flower magnet... Each bouquet is unique on its own...

And... I also made half dozen bouquet for my mom too! 😍😍😍

28th Craft Activity (13th & 14th Feb 2016)

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

This year's V-Day, we teach kids how to make photo frames & treasure boxes...using Popsicle sticks! 😍😍😍

As always, we have few selection for the kids to choose from. They can either choose to make a photo frame or a treasure box...PLUS a V Day card for their beloved family member! 😊😊😊

Lots of ❤️💛💚💙💜...too cute to just ignore them, isn't it?

22nd Week of Craft Activity (5th & 12th July 2015)

In conjunction with the upcoming Raya, we teach the kids how to prepare a unique Raya card for their loved ones.

While we explore the many materials available, we want the kids to be creative & come up with the unique design...

On top of that, we also teach the kids to make ketupat for decoration! I realized not many youngster know how to make it already, even for those who are celebrating Raya. Let's hope they still remember how to make it after this...
