Event @ MVEC

Ok...today, I will try to post all the past events that we have participated...

So bear with me with the old blogs yea...😂😂😂 I'm trying to 'chase' my blogs out of Draft...blogs will be posted in no particular order...just what I can remember...😂😂😂

This event was held in September 2015, at Mid Valley Exhibition Center in Malaysia...

The focus of this event is to promote Magic Nuudles product. A little brief about Magic Nuudles...this product is by far the safest material that I have come across...

As a mother of 3, I'm very particular with materials that my kids handle, especially during their young age between 2-3...they basically will try to put everything they found into their mouth!

So, when I was introduced to this product, I was ecstatic!

This product is so safe...you don't have to worry the kids will put into their mouth! It is made from the finest corn starch, food coloring & water...making it not only safe for kids to handle, also very friendly to the environment...

This product is by far my most popular craft for the younger kids aged 2-5...

If you need additional information about this product, you can visit www.magicnuudles.net or contact us if you are from Malaysia, as we are the authorized distributor in Malaysia.

This is our setup...

We also made some samples...

We have the car, penguin, underwater World on 1 side...

And since it is very close to Halloween, we also made a sample based on Halloween theme...

We made the pumpkins, treat or trick basket, a spooky house, a spooky tree & an owl...

All in all, the event is a good exposure for us to debut the product to the mass as it has always been promoted in our craft center only. With this event, more public is aware about this product & hopefully schools will also be interested in this product!

Oh, apart from Magic Nuudles, we also made about 2,000pcs magnet of the event organizer's logo...as part of the sponsor for door give...

They liked it! Yay!

Another satisfied customer!

Constantine's Teacher's Day 2015 Presents to His Teachers

For this year's Teacher's Day, Constantine decided to give his teachers crcoeht coasters.

There are in total 11 teachers, 10 females & 1 male.

So, I prepared this for him...

For the male Teacher...a crochet mini car keychain, with a card to go...i put the keychain & small little card inside a bag, then the greeting card tied onto the handle with a ribbon.

And for the female Teachers, i prepared 2 Fruity Coasters & 1 Chenille Stem flower...

Hope they liked the little handmade gifts!

Car themed Tissue Box Holders

Recently, i have an order for a Car Tissue Box Holder from a dear friend. She wanted it to give to someone as a Christmas Gift.

She showed me a photo of the sample & asked if I can make something similar.

This is what I made...

And, to make it more personalised, I asked to add in the recipient's initial...:)

After I delivered it, she asked me to make another one in Red! So so happy that she loved it so much...

TQ for your orders, Elaine! :D

Our 1st Ever Xmas Bazaar

Yesterday was our 1st ever Xmas Bazaar & it was held at one of the reputable International Schools in PJ area. I was privileged enough to have the honor to participate in the bazaar.

This is ME at the bazaar venue, setting up the table...:D

When the bazaar started, it was a little overwhelmed as many kids & adults were gathering at the table looking at these...So, these cuties no doubt were my hot seller! I sold most of it...if I knew, I'd made more of these...

I used the flower magnets as part of the decorations for the Friendship Flower Fairies Collection as well as the Party Princesses Collection, Green felt as the grass...lol

Response for Cars were so-so. The big Airplane is not appealing (remind myself to research more on boys version of crochet items), but the airplane keychains & magnets were sellable.

My coasters were my no sale items...note to myself to never EVER make coasters when participating in event relating to kids...:D

Overall, the bazaar is a success for me. Well, I can't compare as I have no experience in bazaar sales before (expect the time that I moonlight for few months for a friend, but I don't do setup. I just sell. The items are not even made by me!)

Lots of lesson learnt...lol

My biggest satisfaction is when all of them (customers & admirers) mentioned that the stuffs are so cute. Of course, not all admirers bought from me as some have budget constraint (they are mostly kids...lol) i have kids coming back & forth looking, playing & admiring the dolls & get frustrated as they didn't have enough cash to buy...some smaller kids were even pestering & 'forcing' the parents to buy...sweet memory...

I'd love to do more bazaar in the future too! :D

Xmas Present Exchange Party 2014

So, after completed all the boys' toys i can think of (the cars & the airplanes), Constantine told me he wanted to give his friend Damien a Blue Bear...hm...

A bear? To a 9 year old boy? I seriously don't think he will appreciate it...:D

So, instead of a bear, I've decided to make a car keychain/bag charm instead...not the cars that I've made as those are too big to be a keychain/bag charm.

Here's what I made at the 11th hour, this is by far my most stressful project ever as I was also rushing for the backlogs I have for the Xmas Bazaar next week. This car took no longer than half an hour, but the cross stitch was the killer...the cross stitch & stitching took me more than 3 hours to complete!

Completed product:

The car with button wheels...:D

This is how it will look like on the backpack or school bag...:)

Pretty cool huh, i think it is much better than a blue bear for a boy...lol

Oh, this pattern is inspired from the original pattern, but not exactly the same as i motified the back part of the car...you can find the original pattern here: http://www.lookatwhatimade.net/crafts/yarn/crochet/free-crochet-patterns/tiny-crochet-car-crochet-pattern/

The wheels on the car goes round & round...

This blog has been my longest overdue blog of the year!

I have been wanting to do some boys version of Toys out of yarns but never been able to start until now.

Of course, it is with a little 'motivational' push from my eldest son...lol...He told me that they are going to have a gift exchange for Xmas in school next week...everyone will have to prepare a little present & give it to a 'secret' friend they got through ballot system. He got a male friend. So, we have to prepare a gift for a male friend.

Not knowing what this friend likes, we better prepare some boys version of toys, just in case...

In case you are wondering why I make so many, this is because I also have a Christmas Bazaar coming up next week, so I'm preparing for it as well...:D I made 12 in total, all different colours!

This is not my own design, but I really love the shape of the car, so I've decided to make it regardless. You may refer here (http://www.redheart.com/free-patterns/happy-little-car-plane-truck)
for the original pattern. I have mine a little modified.

They are just lovely!

Oh, since I am busy preparing for other items for the bazaar, i asked my 2 boys to take photos for me.

I can see that they put in a lot of effort & the result turned out great! Especially the track...
