Our 1st Ever Xmas Bazaar

Yesterday was our 1st ever Xmas Bazaar & it was held at one of the reputable International Schools in PJ area. I was privileged enough to have the honor to participate in the bazaar.

This is ME at the bazaar venue, setting up the table...:D

When the bazaar started, it was a little overwhelmed as many kids & adults were gathering at the table looking at these...So, these cuties no doubt were my hot seller! I sold most of it...if I knew, I'd made more of these...

I used the flower magnets as part of the decorations for the Friendship Flower Fairies Collection as well as the Party Princesses Collection, Green felt as the grass...lol

Response for Cars were so-so. The big Airplane is not appealing (remind myself to research more on boys version of crochet items), but the airplane keychains & magnets were sellable.

My coasters were my no sale items...note to myself to never EVER make coasters when participating in event relating to kids...:D

Overall, the bazaar is a success for me. Well, I can't compare as I have no experience in bazaar sales before (expect the time that I moonlight for few months for a friend, but I don't do setup. I just sell. The items are not even made by me!)

Lots of lesson learnt...lol

My biggest satisfaction is when all of them (customers & admirers) mentioned that the stuffs are so cute. Of course, not all admirers bought from me as some have budget constraint (they are mostly kids...lol) i have kids coming back & forth looking, playing & admiring the dolls & get frustrated as they didn't have enough cash to buy...some smaller kids were even pestering & 'forcing' the parents to buy...sweet memory...

I'd love to do more bazaar in the future too! :D

Friendship Party Princesses Collection - Bag Charm/Keychain

After completed the plush version of the Friendship Flower Fairies Collection, I am off to make the Party Princesses range.

Basically, these are smaller in size compared to the Friendship Flower Fairies Collection plush, and if you notice, these are without the legs.

One range is similar with the Friendship Flower Fairies Collection, but without the wings. And the other range is in different colour outfit but same designs.

These are the range similar with the Friendship Flower Fairies Collection:

Sue - Front & Back

Alice

Iris

Jo

And these are based on the Seasonal theme:

Sue, in Autumn themed colour

Alice, in Summer themed colour

Iris, in Spring themed colour

Jo, in Winter themed colour

For these 2 collections, I made them into bag charms/keychains...

Can you guess who is who? :D

The Party Princesses with the Original design of Friendship Kokeshi Dolls Collection

I really love the Princesses, don't you? I'm sure I will make more! :D

Friendship Dolls as Flower Fairies

I was so busy preparing for Christmas that I missed the Halloween.

Obviously, Sue, Iris, Alice & Jo were not very happy about it! We have been talking for ages that we want to dress them up in Fairies costumes!

So, they have been upset until I finally find the time to change their costumes...And, I promised them that they get to be the Fairies until after New Year! :D

In case you are wondering who is Sue, Iris, Alice & Jo, please read here...

This is the Original Dolls Collection...they are in Japanese Costume:

Sue

Iris

Alice

Jo

This is their latest costumes:

It is based on the Garden Fairy theme...the details are in their dresses...

I dressed them up based on their favorite colors as well...:)

Sue - most difficult to do. There are many parts to attach. 2-tone skirt, yellow belt, yellow ribbon, blue hair embellishments, tiny yellow & blue flowers on both the buns.

Iris - i experimented a gown-like 2-tone skirt. Not bad! I like the 2 flowrs on the waist...

Alice - her dress is flare, Marilyn Monroe type; with a blue belt & blue ribbon. The hair has many flowers...

Jo - semi flare skirt with petals. She has many tiny flowers on her waist & bun.

Each of them is unique in a way...i was also experimenting with their wings, so you can see some are bigger than the others & some are rounded while others are pointy...lol

Sue' wings are long & pointy on both top & bottom part. Iris' more rounded.

Jo's wings are oblong where else Alices' are rounder & fuller.

Personally, i love Alice's wigs the best...:D

Hm...seriously, without the wings, they look more like the Princesses, don't you think so?

These cuties are available for sales. They make perfect Christmas gifts too! :D grab yours before they are gone...

Garden Fairy?

Constantine's classmate is having a Pirate & Garden Fairies themed birthday party soon, so i have to think of something to make, that is so special that it can not be purchased anywhere else. Most importantly, it has to resemble the birthday girl!

So, i asked the mommy what dress the birthday girl is going to wear on that day...she sent me a photo...

Based on this dress theme color, i started to check on the fairy's design. I found this from www.flowerfairies.com...this is perfect!
I like the 'petal' dress...so I'm going to make one, using the same design as my sunflower petals...

Since the birthday girl's dress is Green & Peach, i made the top Green & petal dress Peach...

Then, i made the matching Peach ballerina flats with a Yellow flower on it. The flower has to be small or else it will cover the shoes...so, no fancy flowers...

Then, I started to think of the head of the fairy...Hm...how should I make it? Oh well, since I'm also into big head small body dolls (like my friendship Kokeshi Dolls collection, read here: http://designedwithpassion.blogspot.com/2014/07/presentingthe-friendship-kokeshi-dolls.html), I might as well make it the same!

I changed the hair color to Brown as I am using Beige color as the skin tone. (Black hair won't stand out). I love the outcome!

And since it is a garden fairy, no harm to wear a garland with flowers, right? :D

Oh, I also put a piece of pipe cleaner in each of the fairy's leg, so that the leg can be bended to sitting position...pretty cool! See how her legs bend at the edge of the table?

She can stand...well...not too stable...

She can sit...

Oh...I made a pair of Yellow wings too...how can I miss it...:) i wanted to make a large pair of wings but i'm afraid it will cover the dress, so I made a small 1 instead...

This fairy is too cute!

I hope Constantine's little friend will love it! :D
