Teacher's Day Gifts from the boys

For this year's Teacher's Day, the kids did magnets & coaster for their teachers.

We have been teaching the kids to be appreciative towards their teachers & teaching assistants since day 1, so this year is no exception...

For Christopher, he made heart shape magnets for all the female teachers & coasters for all the male teachers.

Well, he most of them himself including writing the card...

Can see that his writing is not up to expectation but hey...I gotta give him credit for putting the effort to do it himself!

This special set is for his home room teacher, hence have a magnet & a coaster...

These coasters are for his male teachers...very colorful...

These are for the female teachers...

For the past years, I always help Constantine to make all his gifts...so this year, I asked him to make it himself since the younger brother is making his on his own!

Not too bad...the design is more structured...

These coasters are for male teachers...

And these are for female teachers...

From this, we can see that both brother are really different in terms of creativity.

Older brother is more structured in his work, maybe it is because he is older.

Younger brother is all about randomness! He likes colorful things & he actually took time to make it a random pattern! 😂😂😂

Special Project that represent the colours of Malaysia

Recently, a client asked us to make 3 characters using Perler beads...these 3 characters represent the colors of Malaysia, in terms of religion & culture.
According to the client, it will be used as teaching materials to primary students...we were honored enough to be given an opportunity to create something meaningful as this...

This is what the client provide us...

And, this is what we delivered...

The Malay boy...

The Chinese boy...

The Indian girl...

With all three together...now this is what Malaysia is all about...1 Malaysia, living in Muhibah...

31st Craft Activity (31st March - 13th April 2016)

Beading is definitely addictive!!!

As this is by far one of the most popular craft at my center, we need to continue to come up with more designs to keep the kids excited, most importantly, to keep all of my instructors (including myself) excited...😜😜😜

Last year, we made lots of coasters, from fruit to flower to princesses to superheroes...

This year, we try something different...

Ta-daa!!! Last year we protect the bottom of the cup, this year, we protect the top of the cup...😜😜😜 YEA!!! We HAVE to make it in donut form...

Hungry for donuts? 😜😜😜

Farewell Ms Sharon...All the Best!

Christopher's home class teacher is leaving end of this month for family commitment, so we were thinking to give her a present!

This is what I made in 2 days:

Half a dozen of Roses, in multiple colors

I wrapped the flowers with ribbon so that it looks more like a real stalk. I don't want to use the normal green tapestry as it is very sticky & difficult to wash it off. Plus, the dust will stick on it, making it looks very ugly over time.

I added 6 stalks of wild flowers, in various red & pink colors, also wrapped with ribbon.

Then, I add 4 stalks of Japanese Beads, each stalk has 3 beads, all wrapped with ribbon as well.

I made a Purple butterfly, this will be seen clearly why I make it...:)

For vase, I used recycled 500ml mineral water bottle, cut it according to my liking, decorate it with ribbons.

Ta-daaaa...it's done!

Did you see the Purple butterfly?

It's on a clip of which I clip it on a leaf...the card is still blank as I want Christopher to write it himself.

Like it?

Sometimes I think my kids are very lucky to have me as their mom...I make beautiful things that money can't buy...LOL

I hope his home class teacher, Ms Sharon, will love it as much as I do!

All the best to you, Ms Sharon!

Who says Baby Booties got to be Boring? - Part 1

Well, who says baby booties got to be boring?

I used to buy baby booties off the shelves, but some times I couldn't find the colors that I wanted. Plus, as you all know me, I like things uncommon. I don't like to dress up the same as everybody else.

So, with my new baby girl born just 3 months ago, I'm already on my needle & yarns already. As you know, girls like to dress up & it is definitely going to be costly to dress up your girl...

So, after completing my amigurumi projects, I took a break from it & decided to crochet some baby booties for my girl. There are some that I've completed...

My girl has a lot of purple color dresses but can't find booties for her...so, I made her this...

As a girl, of course she'll have a lot of pink dresses as well...

And finally, she also has some Blue dresses, just like the mommy!

Hm...I think I need to get some Yellow & Orange dresses for her as well...so that I can make her some nice Yellow & Orange booties!

So, what do you think?

Wedding bell is in the air...

It's my best friend's wedding & he ordered a Pink Tulips bouquet for his beloved bride. I made him this, together with a matching corsage.

I added a Pink heart-shaped chain to resemble the love between them.

Also, I've added some Japanese Crystal beads to the bouquet.

Congratulations to Simon & Sharon on your wedding! Hope you like the bouquet!
