I Recently found my new love in crocheting...making 3D flowers...either in single stalk or bouquet...love it so much that I can't stop making them!
I always love flowers but I won't spend money to buy the fresh ones...reason? Simple...they don't last! I seriously don't understand why people would spend money to buy fresh flowers just to have them wilt in 2 days! Worst of all, when couples in love bought flowers & tell their other half...my love for u is eternal...they should add..but the flower isn't...lol
Anyway, who am I to question other people? So, if u like flowers & hope to see flower blossom for as long as u want them to be, this may be your other options; apart from those fake plastic ones.
Giant Rose...I made 1 dozen...3 of each color, the size is as big as my hand. This will be my CNY decoration...This is the half complete product, without the leaf...
Completed product...with leaves...
3 of each color...
A total of 12 flowers...
Single bud of Daffodil...
3 Daffodils...this is the half completed product...as for the completed product, you will have to wait for the next post...:P
Orange Calla Lily...
Orange Stargazer Lily...
Pink Tulip...
Pink Gerbera Daisy...This is by far the most challenging flower I've ever made...took me more than 10 hours to complete 6 stalks of daisies...
So, what do you think? Do they look real? :P
If you are wondering what do I do with them...stay tuned for the next post...It's coming RIGHT up...:P
Oh! And if you have any flowers that you like & it is not posted here, do drop me a note...I'll make it for you...:) With a charge of course!

Crocheted Cherry Blossom
This is what I made for my Sister-in-law's house warming party...inspiration came from my curtain!
This is part of my curtain...
This is my final product...
Does it look the same? LOL...
Crocheted Doilies, Tablecloth & Coasters
Have always liked to make some doilies, tablecloth or coasters, but hate the thread as it is so thin...and I need to constantly refer to the design, which takes me hell lots of time...
I never get to finish my work...reason being I always forget where I stopped, & then when I finally want to continue, I have to re-start all over again...sigh...
But it changed when I have a goal! This is my 1st completed project for table cloth & coasters. Finished it in a night, as worried I forget where I stop again...lol...Made this for my brother-in-law's house warming party...hope they like it... This is how it looks like after wrapping...

When I pick up my crochet needles again many years later...
As I mentioned previously, I do crafting on & off...most of the time off...lol
But in year 2009, I found back my passion...& this time, I told myself not to waste the talent...
During my pregnancy in year 2009, I've made quite a number of items for my new baby. Of course, I can't just make for my new baby & ignore the elder brother...so, both got new clothes! These are what I made for the new baby, Christopher... And these are part of what I made for the elder boy, Constantine...I also made jacket for him, the same color & same design as the younger brother's... Apart from my own babies, I also made some pieces for friends & relatives:
This is what I've made for my friend's new baby girl...it comes with a pair of booties... This is for my friend's new baby boy... This is for my best friend's princess... This is for my ex-colleague's new baby gal... This is for my cousin's twin daughters' 1st birthday...
Of course, it didn't stop there...there are many more pieces that I've made...
These are some of the most recent artworks (by saying most recent, it meant year 2011...LOL)
Blue cap for Constantine, to go with the his new Blue Jacket (which is still WIP)... Maroon cap for Constantine... Green V-Neck sleeveless vest for Constantine... Grey Cap & matching jacket for Christopher (the jacket is 99% completed, need to add the buttons, belt & trimming of excess threads) Pink & White Girl 2 ways Poncho/Dress & Orange Girl 2 ways Poncho/Dress. And since I don't have a baby girl, these will go to my cousin's twin daughters... Of course, apart from these, there are at least 5 more pieces still under the WIP status...I need to finish it by end of March this year though...:)

Flower Power
These are some of my most recent craft works.
I made these for my son's pre-school year end party celebration. He wanted to give his teachers something...so I thought why not make something unique instead of buying off the shelves. True enough, alot of children gave fresh flowers...but these can last as long as we want it...:P
In total, I've made 13 bouquets & 3 single stalks flowers...
A larger bouquet for his class teacher...
A smaller bouquet for the rest of his school teachers...

This is how it looks like if I put all the bouquets together in a vase...

A single stalk for the school's helper...

I'm glad they turned out great & hope that the new owner will love them as much as I do!
